Hello, I am a single disabled Grandma on a fixed income. I recently were given custody of two of my grandsons due to them being in an abusive home and neglect they had been through so much I was already raising one grandson age 14, so this was so unexpected. Their mother went to jail for felony assault and domestic violence. She had been abusing the kids, forcing them to lie to a doctor to get ADHD medicine to abuse and Cell!. She is off the hook she has put these boys through so much abuse and neglect often leaving them at home for days with no food fighting with her boyfriend and getting very violent with the kids. Any. Children services contacted me to take my grandson. It’s been very challenging and difficult financially my church helped us at Christmas time. I’ve had the boys since November of last year. I got full custody of One still fighting for custody of the youngest one their age is 14, 13 and 11 my 11-year-old is definitely one year my 13-year-old has dyslexia, ADHD, depression and anxiety. He is currently on mental health meds. My 11-year-old has to wear a special hearing aid to amplify his good ear so he can learn at school. He takes medication as well. My 14-year-old has depression, anxiety and ADHD. His father passed away when he was 10. The boys are in need of clothes And I’d like to be able to afford them sports. They love to play basketball and football. I can’t afford the fees, but most of all we just basically need clothes. I managed to get us moved into a house with three bedrooms in the yard. The boys are all great kids. They help me as I’m disabled and have heart trouble and diabetes. The boys are very polite. They just love to play basketball and be boys. They’re not into miss Oakhaven at school my 13-year-old’s report card right now is straight A’s. They all three have either an IEP or a 504 plan for my 11-year-old for school. I’m doing the best I can I’ll keep them in church and my church is wonderful. They have really been supportive. Sometimes I don’t want to be a burden to anyone, but these boys are a great kids, and I would love to be able to buy them some new clothes and new shoes for the summer and pay for them a membership basketball at the Ymca or something thanks in advance.
