Winter Warmth Initiative: Help Gaza’s Children Stay Safe
As winter approaches in Northern Gaza, the rain and cold bring a harsh reminder of the difficult conditions displaced families face. For children without proper shelter or warm clothing, a rainy, 50-degree night feels unbearably cold. These temperatures, which may seem mild on paper, become dangerous without proper protection from the elements.
Weather
The rainy season has already begun. Winters in Gaza typically last from December to March, with heavy rains and chilly winds. January's average low temperature is 46°F (8°C).
Shelter
Many people are displaced and living in tents, which can be torn apart by strong winds and heavy rains. Some families are sleeping on the ground without mattresses or pillows.

Imagine trying to shield your child from the biting wind and constant rain with nothing more than a thin blanket. For many families, this is their reality. The lack of adequate clothing and shoes leaves these children vulnerable not only to the cold but also to disease and illness, which spread rapidly in these conditions.
With your support, we aim to provide 100 children with winter essentials—warm hats, jackets, and sturdy shoes—to help them endure the tough months ahead. For just $50 per child, you can make sure they face winter with dignity and warmth.
These children have already endured so much. Let’s come together to provide them with the basic necessities they need to stay healthy and safe this winter.
