Good evening to everyone. My name is Christie and I'm a 58 year old woman and I just relocated to Delaware from NJ in June of this year after leaving a domestic violence relationship and I am trying to rebuild my life for me and my daughter here. When I arrived here I did have a car and everything moving forward nicely but June of this year my wheel axle snapped while driving on the highway causing severe damage to the car making it unfixable. I am working full-time but I have not been able to raise enough money to purchase another car. Due to this situation I am having to walk over an hour to and from work causing significant stress on my legs and knees. I'm here to ask for help with this situation as I am unable to raise the necessary funds for a reliable vehicle to allow us to continue to rebuild our lives. This is very difficult for me to post as I am usually the one helping others in need. But at this point I just don't have the ability or the resources to climb out of this alone.
I feel like I am losing all that I have managed to achieve since leaving the abusive situation. So I humbly write this post asking for help from complete strangers in hopes that our story may touch someones heart and may be willing to help us. This is a very humbling thing and quite embarrassing as well.
