For us, we know how to do that best by gathering together on the land as our ancestors did, held in nature, helping each other rise up through experiences where our own profound connection to the living world can be felt, known and shared with each other. Where people of all ages and colors can remember what the essence of our humanity can be and learn to live into it.
It's what drives us to continue to gather the wisdom keepers and people of the four directions, the youth and the elders. It's why we do this work to collaborate with the teachers of regenerative and holistic ways of being with the land. We are here to learn from each other and remember how to be the kind of people who can transform the despair in the world around us into the possibilities encoded in this new era. We know that now more than ever it is essential to expand this work, so we reach to you to make it happen together.
To expand is to be able to rise up and grow beyond the fears we face. As we all navigate the edges between the hope and destruction in our world we can create what is possible. We are here as Earth Peoples United to make impacts far beyond our own personal needs in this window of great Earth changes. To leave the legacy of thriving through these times foretold in the prophecies indigenous people everywhere of great changes on our planet -- to collaborate and all contribute to the healing needed.
Within each of us there is an awakening to the need to come home again to our place within nature and we strive do our part to help this. To gather the people, weave wisdom of the direct transmission lineage holders, offer spaces to heal ourselves and source inspiration for what is possible through us when we unite.
We have all become natives to the wildfire and the floods, the great freezes, heatwaves and tsunamis.. The imbalance is all of ours and so too is the power to shift it.
Looking back we are overwhelmed with the beautiful things that have been shared at Deer Mountain. Looking forward we ask for you to help us grow the village where these circles take place so we can do more in this critical time. As we dedicate ourselves to modeling the ways we can rise to meet the increasing changes of the world we are living in, to nurture connection, teach skills and make a tangible difference in each other's lives tending to the home where new legacies of land skills and wisdom sharing for future generations takes place.
Tend to this wild hope with us as we grow our village and protect the living classroom and home to ancient ceremonial sites that we call Deer Mountain Sanctuary today. Located north of Mount Shasta in Northern California in the heart of the Siskiyou Mountains. Where we hold circles to transmit ancient wisdom and train in new ways of being to holistically manage land and restore balance in our forests.

- Expanding the permanent spaces for our intergenerational cross-cultural camps, starting with the poles and supplies needed to erect a 30' tipi to circle in -- a welcome preparation for the family camp to take place in summer 2023. Learn more on our website at earthpeoplesunited.org
- Growing our living community model for holistic land management practices and skill-share actions in response to wildfires in our region as we share the essence of our ancestral roots and cultures.
- Continuing to develop our forest ecology firebreak system at Deer Mountain Sanctuary, a first phase of a multi year effort to come that you can help make happen with a gift to this end of year matching funds campaign.
This summer we took the first critical step towards being a leading model of effective, fully integrative fire ecology restoration on our land - the biggest, most effective methodology of improving overall forest health, wildlife health and diversity, and increasing water bio-availability. It is also one of our biggest tools to compensate for climate change.
Give all you can by the end of the year to make a difference and help us create this ecological island of protection, a beacon of hope to inspire and teach others. This seed of change when planted and cared for can grow into something incredibly beautiful for the future.
