Two Lives Made One - Inoperable Tumors and Thriving on Three Legs

Hi there! I'm living with inoperable tumors, my amazing four-legged rescue, Maza, had her hip removed after a car accident when she was young. Now, she mostly gets around on three legs because one leg is longer than the other.

Welcome to our Spotfund page!

The Reason for This Page

I am sharing my journey with you all, hoping it might inspire someone to seek their own relationship with GOD. For those who don’t know my story, here’s a quick rundown:

Several years ago, I was told I needed emergency surgery due to fibroid tumors. I had always heard that many women live with these tumors, but mine had grown to the point of severe action needing to take place. Desperate for relief, I started researching ways to get rid of them and discovered fasting. My first fast was a 21-day water fast (not something I’d recommend as a first fast!).

The fast started working—the tumors were dying—but I needed more time. To really make a difference, I needed to fast for 40 days, but my body couldn’t take it anymore; I was down to skin and bones.

Post-surgery, I faced complications, but with the incredible support of my Mom and former classmates, I pulled through. My Mom flew in on the day of the surgery, and my classmates took turns caring for me, driving long distances and dedicating hours to make sure I had everything I needed.

Fast forward to today, the tumors are back, now in my brain, lungs, and spinal area. I’ve wondered if they’re really fibroid tumors because they seem so different, but this is my reality. I’ve traveled abroad seeking treatment, only to be told they couldn’t help.

Now, I stick to a strict diet and continue fasting. I decided about 2 years ago, to live my life for GOD, holding onto His promise of hope and a future. I live in faith, embracing the hope and future He has planned for me.

Today

I've taken on a mission, for the time being, to enhance homes that aren't mine. I haven't charged the homeowners; I'm doing this for GOD's glory and the owners get to benefit. I'd love for you to join me on this journey. If you're inspired to support this cause, your generosity is deeply appreciated! 😊  And if you can connect me with someone looking for a housesitter, garden work, or property management, that would be fantastic.

WEEK FIVE

This was the week I came off my fast. However, since I didn't prepare properly, I had nothing suitable to break my fast with. Solid food was out of the question, I didn't have broth, and I was still very dehydrated. The one thing on my mind? Watermelon. I craved its hydrating goodness, but unfortunately, there was none to be found.

At this point, I could barely stand or walk. Living in a small village with only three full-time residents, my options were limited. One neighbor was out of town, and the other didn't speak English. My only hope was the neighbor who visited on weekends, so I reached out to her.

Hallelujah! She had hydrating melon that I could extract juice from.

Stay tuned for more about my journey and all glory to GOD!

WEEK FOUR

This week was challenging, filled with most of my fasting days. As some of you know from my bio, I have experience with water fasting. However, this time felt different, like I was forcing myself to fast even when my heart wasn't in it. If I could have transformed my heart to embrace joy and prepared properly, I could have experienced a new level of delight in this fast.

Maza was wonderful during this time. She didn't pester me to go outside often, instead, she stayed on the part of the balcony where I could see her and came to the window when she was ready to come in. This is how we spent those seven days together. Though I could barely stand or walk, I felt God's presence gently guiding me through each moment.

Despite the physical challenges, I felt a deep sense of God's love and support. This experience reminded me of the importance of aligning my heart with God's will, finding joy in the journey, and relying on His strength. It could have been a beautiful lesson in patience, faith, and the gentle, uplifting love of God, if I had allowed.

WEEK THREE

In week three, the repairman arrived to address the areas that needed fixing. Christmas was approaching, and it was the first time I truly understood I wouldn't celebrate it as I always had. I wanted to honor the birth of my Lord and Savior, but my eldest niece's research had revealed that Jesus was not born in December. His birth was tied to a pagan holiday celebrated in December, unrelated to the actual time of His birth.

VERIFIED BY MY INDEPENDANT RESEARCH
Inspired by my niece, I embarked on my own research using an app that tracks stars in the sky. I aimed to find the Revelation 12 constellation.

I found it. I saw the constellation spoken about in Revelation 12:1-6. While my family and many others around the world were preparing to celebrate Christmas on December 25, I was preparing a different kind of celebration. Though uncertain about the details, I decided to make a feast.

SEVEN DAYS
The day before my feast, I felt spiritually guided to fast for seven days. I had already been fasting daily between specific times, eating only for 45 minutes each day. I was reluctant to extend my fast and even threw a bit of a tantrum, leading me to abstain from water for almost four days. I nearly died (I was already dry fasting each day). When I finally began drinking water, I struggled to keep it down. My reluctance stemmed from a previous water fast that resulted in a heart attack a year and a half ago. I feared it would happen again.

By God's grace alone, I completed the seven-day fast. It wasn't due to my emotional, intellectual, or spiritual maturity. We often judge each other, which is why many of us hide our weaknesses. I ask that as you read my updates, do so with compassion. Sometimes, I get tired, and that's when the enemy strikes. 1 Peter 5:8 warns us to be vigilant, as the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion. He probes our weaknesses and, once found, relentlessly tests us to see if we'll break.

During this challenging time, I called on the Holy Spirit for help. The following week was tough, and it took a long time to recover. I cannot blame God for this; it was entirely my fault. Anger is a disease that leads to bitterness, which, once rooted, is hard to shake (Hebrews 12:14-15).

As I share these experiences, I hope to inspire a sense of compassion, fellowship, and a deeper desire to draw closer to GOD.

WEEK TWO

This week, I finally got to meet the owner in person! He came over to the house, and despite the chilly weather, he brought ice cream. Haha! We had a great chat about the house. One of the topics was the front gate needing repairs. Funny enough, later that week, a windstorm completely demolished the front gate! I sent him pictures and also mentioned an opening in the back gate caused by the wind pushing something heavy against it. He forwarded the pictures to his repair guy.

To add some humor, I sent him a cute video of the neighbors' goats roaming the village, joking that they might be the culprits behind the gate destruction.

Meanwhile, Maza wasn't so happy about our grass-eating neighbors from down the road!

Stay tuned for more fun updates from our little adventure!

WEEK 1

I received an exciting message from the owner with a new option—not a housesit, but a rental! He had another house, one he lived in before building his current home. Although he hadn't planned to rent it out because it's chilly in the winter, he graciously offered it to me. After some friendly price negotiations, he suggested I stay for a few days to see if it was a good fit for the winter.

TIME TO MOVE

I packed my things with enthusiasm, I had already prayed to GOD asking if this was the right place, especially for Maza. I hoped for a fenced garden where she could roam safely. Everything seemed to align perfectly, indicating this was indeed where we were meant to be.

Logistics were a bit tricky since the trip was over two hours and I had no immediate transportation. I panicked a bit.  Not realizing in that moment that since it was GOD’s plan, He would provide a way. The kind people from the church in Konik, where I was staying, were incredibly supportive. Special shoutouts to Pastor Siniša, Arina, Kimeta, Ceca, Olga and all the other wonderful women at the church who treated me with such kindness. Two amazing men, Beni and Damir, offered to drive me, even though Beni was allergic to dogs!

OUR ARRIVAL

We arrived after dark, and they helped unload my things. Alone with Maza in our new place, I quickly discovered she had found a hole in the gate and had ventured into the neighbor’s garden. After a few tense moments of calling for her in the dark, she finally reappeared, much to my relief. I immediately secured the fence, the best I could (which proved to be futile in the following weeks) to keep her safe and met a friendly neighborhood dog named Mocho, whom I initially called Buddy.

As we settled in our first night, the power went out, plunging the house into cold darkness. The owner had arranged for a second portable heater, but without electricity, it was useless. Thankfully, I had warm down duvets and snuggled up to stay cozy through the night. Morning arrived with still no power and no water since the pump for the water tank was electric. I messaged the owner, who was surprised by the outage, as he mentioned that it rarely happened.

OUR 1ST MORNING

While outside, I spotted a car and felt a nudge to approach it. Inside was Val, one of the two permanent neighbors in the village. He was working from his car due to the outage and explained these power cuts were common but assured me help was on the way. We exchanged WhatsApp numbers, a decision that proved invaluable as Val and his wife Nadya became wonderful friends and a great help during my stay.

Exploring the property, I saw the gardens and cement stairs needed some TLC. GOD had already shown me the tasks ahead: weeding the gardens and cleaning the stairs. Though the work seemed daunting, I was grateful for the beautiful house and the opportunity to make it our cozy home.

Stay tuned for more adventures as Maza and I settle into our new mountain retreat!

Here is Maza in her little box on her second night in the new place.
