I have chosen Home Base for charity this year. Founded in 2009, Home Base is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds and trauma of war for all veterans. They provide clinical care and education and fund research to further understand what we can do to help. Since its inception, Home Base has been able to directly support over 30,000 veterans as well as their families and train over 85,000 clinicians.

If donating through a Donor Advised Fund, you can do so directly through your provider using Home Base's tax ID of 04-1564655.  If I don’t reach 40k feet, then I’ll add to my donation 10 cents for every foot I'm short.
