On July 13, 2026, our father, Jerry Guarino, suffered a massive ischemic stroke that affected the left side of his brain. He was admitted to Broward Health Medical Center, where he spent nearly a month fighting for his life before being transferred to a rehabilitation facility.
Despite the challenges he faces, he continues to make progress every day. He is working incredibly hard in therapy with one goal in mind—to come home to his family. Because the stroke affected his ability to swallow, he currently relies on a feeding tube for all of his nutrition.
Our father is a 100% disabled veteran, and we are extremely grateful that the VA has covered his medical care and rehabilitation. However, they do not cover the specialized tube feeding formula he depends on for his daily nutrition, and he does not have secondary insurance to help with this expense.
We are asking for your support to help provide the nutrition he needs to continue healing, regain his strength, and give him the best chance of returning home. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward the cost of his feeding formula and nutritional needs.
