I am need of surgery to remove my uterus due to a medical condition that causes excessive blood loss. My surgery was scheduled for Feb 3, 2026 but, I do not have enough leave to cover the four weeks needed for recovery.
Having this surgery would cease the need to take hormonal medications which affect a healthy Blood Pressure. Recently, I have been in a Blood Pressure Crisis which as me out of work using the 64 hours of yearly sick leave I receive. Once that is exhausted, I will then have 2 weeks of vacation. Which is still two weeks short of the time I need to recovery.
I am asking for assistance to stay afloat and cover my expenses, so I can get this life altering surgery and recover before returning to work. I am a very proud person, and this is something I would never consider. But, I am at a desperate point where I cannot wait until November 2026 to obtain Short-Term disability through open enrollment.
Every little bit helps and I am appreciative of all the support and love you show me, even when I am not sick. Help me help me, because I am not in a position to do so right now.
