Some of you may already know, but on Saturday, March 21st, my dad was involved in a serious accident. He sustained multiple injuries, and at this time, we are still unsure what his recovery will look like. We also don’t know when he will be able to return to work, and is the sole provider for the household.

As you can imagine, medical expenses are quickly adding up, and everyday bills will soon be difficult to manage. If you know my parents, you know they are always the first to step up and help others—but they are the last to ask for help themselves.

We are asking for any support you can give during this difficult time. No donation is too small, and if you’re unable to contribute financially, we would greatly appreciate your prayers and support for our family.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

!!Update on Dad!!

I figured I should give everyone a little more info about dad since I didn’t really share a lot and we are getting lots of questions.

Mom got an alert on Saturday the 21st from Life360 that Dad had been in an accident. My brother and husband immediately hopped in the car and went to where he was. He had flipped his side by side and was thrown out of it. He was airlifted to Kettering Main. We were told he had a broken shoulder blade on his right side, a torn rotator cuff on his left side, and a broken rib on the top back side of his ribs. But, he couldn’t lift his arms very well, bend his fingers and when he stood to walk his legs were very shaky. Last Wednesday the 25th they did an MRI of his right shoulder to see if there was anything else going on since he couldn’t bend his fingers, but was told the results wouldn’t change anything. After the MRI he was discharged. This past Monday his MRI results still weren’t back and Mom hadn’t heard anything from any of his doctors. Mom called and spoke with someone in radiology about still not having the report for the MRI and apparently there was an internet shortage the day of his MRI. We don’t know that the results would have ever been sent to his mychart had she not called. We have a family member in the medical field who advised Mom to make Dad an appointment with Mayfield Brain and Spine. The MRI showed he has a cervical disc in his neck that is pushing on his spinal cord. Fast forward to today, he had his appointment with Mayfield. The Doctor and Surgeon that saw him were in disbelief that he had been released from the hospital in his condition. They sent him straight to Miami Valley South to be directly admitted. They are doing a CT and MRI of his head and neck to confirm what they saw in the MRI in his shoulder is correct. They will be doing surgery either tomorrow or Friday.

We still don’t know what his recovery will look like or how long he will be off work (without pay since he is self employed), so please keep him, my Mom and my family in your thoughts and prayers🫶
