My name is Darlene, and I am reaching out during one of the most challenging seasons of my life. I recently relocated from New Jersey to North Carolina to care for my daughter, who was placed on the kidney donor list. By God’s grace, she received a kidney, but her recovery is ongoing. She still needs daily support—both for herself and for her children—as she continues to heal and rebuild her strength.
At the same time, I am also the full‑time caregiver for another daughter who is disabled and unable to work. Caring for both of my children is a responsibility I carry with love, but it has required me to put my own stability on hold.
On January 31, 2026, I lost my job. Since then, I have submitted more than 100 résumés through Indeed, LinkedIn, and directly to company career sites. I have applied consistently, interviewed when opportunities came, and continued searching every single day. Despite my efforts, I have not yet secured employment.
With no income and two daughters depending on me, I am now facing the possibility of losing our home. I am doing everything I can to stay strong for my family, but we are at a point where I cannot do this alone.
I am asking for assistance to help us stay afloat—just enough to stabilize our home, keep a roof over our heads, and give me the time I need to secure employment. Any support, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in helping my family get back on track.
Thank you for reading our story, for your compassion, and for any help you are able to give. Your kindness will help us continue moving forward with hope.
