My name is Malik Grubbs Im 25 years old I reside in Raleigh NC. I started designing clothes about 2 years ago with my tshirt machine. At first it was just like a hobby something I enjoyed doing in my spare time. Growing up I had a great passion for arts and crafts but I never knew it lead to me becoming a clothing designer. Shortly after I studied my tshirt machine and started producing garments I lost my career/job, my son was born, my bank account was severely decressing, and depression was slowly arising. So I started designing clothes with a stronger passion. I started studying entrepernuership, other businesses, clothing companies, and logos. I was inspired by other established brands of course. So as I studied entreperneurshiop I started studying copyrights and trademarks. I then designed the Trap Face logo which is a house that symbolizes where I started making clothes which technically is an apartment building because my family never owned a house. I then submitted the logo to the United States Patent & Trademark Office(USPTO) in a course of 9 months it took for them to review and examin the application it came back approved and went live. Shortly after I received the approval I opened up my first family business; mind you this is in the middle of the pandemic. I only had my physical location and website running for approximately 10 months and here comes the billion dollar coporation calling me, emailing me, threathening me to sue, and stalking my social medial. I started this brand with the intentions to save younger teens and adults in lower proverty communities by influencing them to legalizing their trap. Meaning taking your side hustle your passion your dream to the next level by going legit and registering your business. North Face apparel company is now suing me for 1 million to 5 million dollars. And at this time I am a small business and need help and support from the community I dont want to lose my dream and business I invested my life into this and I will give it everthing in my power defeat this lawsuit. I dont come from a wealthy background all I have is a dollar and a dream. Whatever you can do to help please help this is bigger than me. This is for us!
