My name is Tonga, and I am a proud transgender woman of Tongan heritage 🇹🇴. I grew up in Seattle and moved to Utah in 2018, carrying with me a lifetime of dreams, struggles, and hope for the future I knew deep down I deserved to live.

For most of my life, I struggled silently with body dysphoria — feeling disconnected from the person I saw in the mirror while trying to survive in a world that often didn’t understand me. During the pandemic, everything changed. Like so many people, I was forced to slow down and reflect deeply on my life, my happiness, and my truth. It was during that time that I finally embraced who I truly am: a woman.

Beginning my transition has been one of the most beautiful, healing, and life-saving journeys of my life. For the first time, I have been able to live authentically and openly as myself. But while transitioning has brought me peace emotionally and spiritually, I still struggle deeply with physical dysphoria every single day.

The surgeries I am seeking are not about vanity — they are about finally feeling safe, whole, and comfortable in my own skin. They are about being able to look in the mirror and recognize myself fully. They are about easing the emotional pain and anxiety that come with gender dysphoria and helping me continue living as the woman I have always been inside.

Unfortunately, these procedures are extremely expensive, and with limited financial resources, I cannot do this alone. Asking for help is not easy for me, but I am choosing vulnerability and hope by sharing my story.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean more to me than words can express. And if you are unable to donate, sharing my story or sending love and encouragement would also mean the world to me.

To everyone who supports me, uplifts me, and sees me for who I truly am — thank you. Your kindness gives me strength, hope, and the ability to keep moving forward toward becoming fully myself.

Thank you with all of my heart and being.

With love and gratitude,

Tonga Sablan
