Hello, I am starting a YouTube channel and community to help minorities and/or people that are unaware of how the legal system works when arrested and inform them of their rights. It is an informational business that I am attempting to get off the ground and am in need of funds for start-up costs and research. I was recently caught up in the system and took a plea deal, losing all my rights to an appeal and automatically adjudicated guilty of crimes that were committed against me. I am the victim, yet they charged me with the crime. I sat in the county jail for 5 months in limbo. I had no-ones phone number memorized, therefore, I had no outside contact to help me through this. During my incarceration I had no contact with my legal representative, did not appear in court one time (other than first appearance which happens the next morning after arrest), and no legal mail was received. I was stuck for 5 months unaware of anything and no communication with anyone about my case! Needless to say, when I was finally called to appear in court and was offered a plea deal of probation and would be released that day, I jumped on it! I've come to find out many things that could have happened on my behalf and useful information that, at the time, had I known these things, my life would be so different right now. I had options and steps I could have taken as to not be in the situation I am in today and I feel everyone, whether or not already a statistic in the system will benefit from this information that I have found out. There is much more research and case files that need to be researched as to not give false information, which is why I am asking for help and donations. This is detrimental information that needs to get to the public asap so the system does not suck in more people, especially innocent ones and I want to dedicate my life and time to this project but cannot afford putting in the time and energy needed and survive. Please help get this project up and running and onto the many social networks available, for you never know, it could be your child, or worse yet, you yourself that gets caught up in the system trying to protect yourself, as I thought I was doing! People lose everything once incarcerated...their home, children, cars, belongings...Everything! Help me to put a stop to this corruption by donating to my cause today!!
