In August of 2019 I was brutally stabbed eight times by then my two year old twins father who suffered from drug abuse. Left for dead I began praying the guy leaves and that God wouldn't take me in front of my boys. Finally gone, my sister ran to help me while both of us realizing I was paralyzed seeing that I couldn't be moved. On the front porch for 15 minutes I continued praying while waiting for her to go wake up any neighbor to call police (Guy took phones with him, not to mention it was almost 3am). Still praying that God would spare me in front of my kids but knowing if it was His will I was ok with it. I survived that night and have been a quadriplegic ever since. That didn't stop me though I got out the ICU after 2mths and asked the Doctor "what's next?" I was transported to Nexus Specialty in The Woodlands where I stayed 3mths before being released to my home and immediately I went back to college to finish what I started. At the same time fighting spasticity before getting a Baclofin Pump to relax my muscles enough to even be able to receive therapy. Fighting to get approved for any type of therapy I was continually denied by Medicaid until March of 2021 I started receiving therapy through TiRR Memorial Hermann in Houston, paid for by Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services. While going through therapy my mother was upset with me for being paralyzed and having to need her help. She gave me a negative attitude when getting me dress to attend therapy, it broke my spirit but yet made me stronger and more determined to become independent. Graduating my 1st phase of therapy in December of "21 I took a break to focus on my last semester at Lamar to graduate in Spring of 2022. Finally I finished with my AAS in Occupational Safety and Health, this accomplishment was made to show my boys that there's no excuse as to why you can't do anything! Today I completed my first class of driving school with Strowmatt Rehabilitation Services, passing the course I completed my rode test on May 27th and was issued a driving license. I'll will need a van to began driving and also to become more independent. This van will be converted by a funding source called Victims of Crime but I have to have a purchased van in order for conversion. Contributing to help me will not only help me but also my beautiful boys being that I am a single mother. For the last 2yrs I have literally carried them on my lap either traveling by power chair or city bus and driving my wheelchair to Lamar campus to complete school up to three times a week with two being night classes. I even drove it to my graduation ceremony 😂 but hey I had to do what I had to do to get things done and will continue to do so. I wanted to share my story with people to find help so that I could begin working to provide a stable home for my twin boys and myself. At the moment I am a student at Lamar University studying Industrial Technology. Also IVe begun my second phase of therapy to try and stand and walk. If you're not able to help a simple payer for strength will do!! God bless you ALL!! I love you all!!
Posted Update: After my visit with A vehicle modification company on June 23rd, I now know I would need at least $50,000to purchase the van outside of the vehicle's modification. With the TX Workforce and Victims of Crime they will only pay to remodify a new vehicle not used or second hand. I know God has it all taken care of so my patience is virtue! Thank you all in advance and I'll be sure to keep you guys updated on Gods Blessings!j!

Just wanted to say hi to all my donors! God has been wonderful in blessing my little family. The twins are now 8yrs old and attending 3rd grade. At the moment I’m fighting pneumonia but is sure this too shall pass as I believe God has a special plan for my life to bring Himself Glory. I’m still working on saving for a van so we could hopefully travel to Disneyland for the boys next birthday in March. May God continue to bless you all in whatever you may endeavor.
