Justice for Diego
Diego is our 18-year-old friend of many years. We know him well and love him deeply—we consider him part of our family.
Diego is currently in detention center facing possible prison time. Through this initiative, we are working to help him get his young life back. Diego is a kind, sweet, loving, and thoughtful young man.
We are raising money for legal support and support for his family, who are in this for the long haul.
Our hope is to help Diego get the resources he needs so that he has an opportunity for justice.
We want Diego to get the same representation/access to justice that an affluent white boy would get.
We hope to raise $25,000 or more to help cover anticipated expenses.
We have someone, actually, who has generously offered to match dollar-for-dollar donations up to $5,000—which would really get us on our way!
