💫We moved to North Carolina in November 2021. I started having some weird symptoms that I related to the elevation change because some people get sick from such things. But February 1, 2022 I was diagnosed with AML leukemia. I spent one month in the hospital straight before going home and returning for one week treatments, four months in a row. In that time I accumulated roughly $250,000 worth of medical bills before I got my insurance.
💫But this go fund me is really for my upcoming process after having relapsed in the last month. I’ve been going through chemotherapy again thankfully outpatient this time. But I will be requiring a bone marrow transplant, somewhere between a few weeks and a few months from now. This will means that I have to live five hours from home, to be very close to the transplant center. In the event that I spike a fever or infection etc, I need to be close to the facility.
💫After each chemo treatment last year, I ended up with an infection due to having no immune system. Right now I hope not to have that problem but I will require radiation to my entire body prior to the actual transplant. This will keep me in a bubble for three months because they will intentionally obliterate my immune system so that I can fully take on my new bone marrow cells.
