My (Tina's) mom has suffered from chronic back pain for many years...apparently, it was NOT caused by her giving birthday to 6 beautiful children, especially the oldest. :)
She recently visited a doctor of regenerative medicine and was offered the opportunity to take part in an experimental procedure that could alleviate some of her pain. The treatment consists of stem cell therapy for one year on her lower back. She would also need to undergo decompression therapy. The costs are far more than anything that a senior citizen without health care can afford --- $6000.
Over the years, each of the kids have tried to do little things to help her out but this treatment is beyond what any single one of us can do. Half of us work in the field of public service and we are hoping that we can pull our friend groups together to make a difference for our mom. We decided that we would try to create a GoFundMe to raise money for her to have this (hopefully) life-changing treatment this year.
