On July 14, 2025 -- battling the elements as well as a strong field of regional opponents -- Stamford Thunder successfully defended its New England title, defeating their much-improved perennial nemesis PNJ-Worcester, MA to reclaim the New England Senior Babe Ruth (18u) Baseball crown. That win qualifies the team to represent New England in the Babe Ruth World Series, which this year will be held in Ocala, Florida August 1-9.
For most of the boys, the trip represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent their home town and state on an international stage, however, summertime travel to Florida commands a premium cost !
