I moved to St. Louis 7 months ago, from Florida to continue my career after being laid off. Myself and 4 family members have rented a house together and are creating new routines and memories. Last night, The Eve of Christmas Eve, I slipped on the basement steps and broke my ankle in 2 spots and tore ligaments. I'm already $3000 deep just from the ER visit last night. I will be having surgery in the next week or so, , will be missing work, tho I intend to borrow a knee scooter and get back as soon as I can. My insurance has not kicked in yet at my new job. I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to handle this. I'm already paycheck to paycheck and have been searching for a 2nd job. I'm a 23 year cancer survivor, I have had a house burn to the ground in the middle of the night. I can handle hard, difficult situations. I'm strong but I feel I need help, I'm just starting over a new life in a new city & feel like, besides the pain of a broken ankle, this is going to be too much & its going to bury me. If you can help, in any way, in any amount know I am forever grateful & humbled. ✌️
