The Black Explosion Newspaper is the University of Maryland's first and only Black student newspaper, established in 1970.

This past year, we have struggled financially with keeping our website up and running, along with funding projects that we'd like to do, like our newsletter.

We are raising money for press passes, which are so important with many journalists being detained for doing their jobs and to help cushion our paper and future projects we have planned.
