As many of you know Dylan left for San Diego for inpatient treatment for alcohol dependency and to learn how to live without his dad and not numbing his pain with alcohol.
He paid for his plane ticket there as a birthday gift to himself. He will be there for his 32nd birthday and through the holidays. He sounds like he's doing great and has made plans on how to fill up his down time. He is going to look into volunteering at an animal shelter a few days a week as well. He's also enjoyed doing art therapy and is going to continue doing that and counseling.
The reason for this spotfund is to help with a plane ticket home. He is being told by his counselor that he should be ready to come home to continue his journey January 4th. He has applied for paid FMLA (He's waiting for approval) and is currently without any income.
I would love to pay for his ticket back home however without his help with our rent and other bills money is very tight. I know asking at the holidays is difficult. I am asking for $5 or whatever you are able to help with. I also want him to know that we all support him and that this disease doesn't define who was only what he is becoming.
