One of every three elephants that roamed Africa just 10 years ago has since been killed for its ivory. That’s one every 25 minutes. Close to 60 every day. It’s a rate of slaughter that could see the world’s largest land mammal go extinct. At the same time, the space elephants need to thrive is being squeezed.
