CIRCLES OF LIGHT
SUPPORTING BEREAVED FAMILIES IN ISRAEL
Since October 7th 2024, nearly 1,500 families in Israel have joined the devastating circle of bereaved families. Maya Raviv has been offering her services at no cost to bereaved families and family members of hostages. Due to the great need, Maya would like to be able to offer this ongoing support to as many families as possible, and your help is needed.
On May 13th, Israel’s Memorial Day, Maya Raviv’s Psalms Project is launching “Circles of Light,” a new program offering spiritual and emotional support to bereaved families who are coping with grief. The program will provide 12 monthly sessions for each family through a year-long process, dedicated to the individual grief experience of each family member, open communication within the family around the loss, and the formation of a new relationship with the loved one who has passed.
Every donor to the program, at any level, will know the name of the soldier/victim whose family their contribution will benefit.
BACKGROUND
Maya Raviv has been serving bereaved families in Israel with her spiritual and emotional support work for over a decade. She has been working with bereaved families through Israel’s Ministry of Defense, and her music has been included in Israel’s National memorial services over the years. During that time, Maya has developed a unique process, designed as a therapeutic tool to support healing during grief. The process combines deep emotional work with live music, and utilizes the spiritual and transformative nature of the Hebrew Psalms with the profound power of sound frequency to support healing.
$180 sponsors a single two-hour private session for a family
$540 sponsors three two-hour private session for a family
$1,080 sponsors six two-hour private session for a family
$2,160 sponsors a full year of programs: 12 monthly two-hour private sessions for a family
$6,480 sponsors a full year of programs for three bereaved families: 12 monthly two-hour private sessions for each family
A donation of any amount counts. Donations of greater or lesser amounts will be combined in order to support as many families as possible.
Our goal is to support at least 10 families a year.
For the past 25 weeks Maya has been offering at no cost a weekly community zoom session, in order to provide comfort and support for everyone who wants to pray for healing in Israel and the world.
