“5G” Soundtrack Album and Experimental Anthology Musical Film
Story:
I just finished recording my first studio project entitled 5G! I've been working with an amazing music producer and recording artist, Bilal Abdulsamad, on a fresh, fun music project. To celebrate my first full release, I decided to release this project as a soundtrack to an anthology musical film. I was inspired by Michael Jackson’s musical anthology film, Moonwalker, in which Bilal Abdulsamad appeared in as a child. While I was creating this album, I experienced a literal whirlwind of events that helped shape me and made me stronger. I relocated to Georgia with my son, Mecca during a global pandemic and a real hurricane. These changes weren’t easy, but they also helped me become resilient. After relocating, I went right into recording mode with Bilal. Working on my first album has brought me so much happiness and it changed me in an incredible way. I’ve grown artistically and learned so much about myself and I’ve put my all into the lyrics and vocals. In this project, I've expressed some of my humor and my personal experiences in love, by taking my journey and expressing it through each track. I wanted to bring the audience something unique and original, with a sound of trendy technology, while also adding a bit of old school vibes.
With my real last name being Muse, I’m always creating some type of art. Whether I’m writing or editing videos, I’m continuously coming up with art that is new and different. This being my first full music project, I have put so much emotion and passion into each of these songs and interludes. Digging deep, starting over in a new city while dealing with frustrations, setbacks, and heartbreaks, this album showcases parts of my real-life experiences.

About the project:
5G is an original soundtrack album to an experimental anthology musical film created and written by multi-hyphenate artist Ludmilla Muse and producer/vocalist, Bilal Abdulsamad of the late 80’s world-renowned teen singing group The Boys. The pair has crafted an emerging sound of technological funk that will transcend an avant-garde style in the entertainment industry. As Ludmilla sings lead with Bilal lending his music production and background vocals to this theatrical piece, the two’s chemistry is undeniable.
The title 5G not only represents the fifth-generation technology, but also the five musical tracks on the album. The ‘G’ here stands for “God”, “Goddess”, “goodness” … all good words that begin with the letter “G”. The album also has an Intro titled an “Entro Lüd” and four interlude skits called “Enter Lüd’s” where listeners will be able to enter Ludmilla’s sketch comedy mind. In the era of numerous social media and dating sites, Muse and Abdulsamad use real life situations and humor to help the listener and viewer reflect on life and love beyond the metaverse. Each track on the 5G album will take you on a journey of metaphors about love and technology and weaves a stimulating storyline through a unique melodious matrix.

Funding:
I'm very close to finishing mixing and mastering the 5G album and am in preparation on getting artwork and all production needs to film this album’s movie/music videos and I need your help to get through the finish line to make this album and film happen! A total of $65,000 is needed to complete the rest of the project. Your contribution will help with everything I need to not only finish mastering the album, but to film the albums movie and deliver it to streaming platforms. Also, any additional funds would go towards film festival entry fees.
Why we need the funds:
A lot of hard work goes into releasing an album, especially independently. Up until now, I’ve been funding and producing all my projects myself, not to mention I’ve also done all my editing for not only my television show Ludi Tunes, but also my music videos and other promotions. Although I can be quite creative, I would like to hire a professional team to shoot and edit this film at a much higher quality, so that I can focus on being an artist. To deliver a great product to distributors, I need to hire an elevated, professional team, from cameramen, editors, cast, wardrobe stylist, hair stylist, makeup artist, and the list goes on (below). It’s time to step it up! The funds will go towards paying for finalizing the mastering of the album, artwork for the album cover and my website, pressing up CD’s and vinyl records, a film production crew, I have posted my past shows online and in a shorter time span than I envisioned it to be. My goal is to produce the 5G anthology film as a 30-minute film, for a major network, and showcase it around the world.
I have won multiple awards in film festivals around the world with my show Ludi Tunes and music video for my single “For My Homies” all of this without having any management or being signed to a major label! Doing it this way has helped me expand my audience on a larger, global level for my music and tv show by reaching new audiences through the film festival circuit. My show has also gained the attention and support of international comedian and movie star, Lil Rel Howery.

Why this project is my baby:
I’ve always loved being in front of the camera and I have desired to push my creative career for a long while now. With the successes of my television series Ludi Tunes and music video for “For My Homies”, I have been able to share my work on global platforms. Plus, I have been blessed to work on this project with one of my childhood musical admirations, Bilal Abdulsamad. Together, we have birthed a beautiful story from start to finish using the tools that we had to produce this dream.
Challenges:
There are always challenges in trying to produce my own projects. Nothing but God and my will to succeed will keep me from my goals. No matter what, I intend on seeing it all the way through to the final production. Although there are many challenges in the entertainment industry, it has always been my passion to make my artistic dream come true. No matter what, I will continue to work on my music, films, and television show.
