This year has been challenging in more ways than I could have imagined. Just as we finally settled into our new apartment in Spokane, life took a sudden turn. The Spokane Complex Fire, particularly the Old Trails fire, forced us to evacuate our home on August 1st, 2026. The rush of packing essentials, the uncertainty of not knowing when or what we might return to. It's still unclear when we'll be able to go back or what damage might await us.
I'm reaching out for a bit of help during this trying time. We're in limbo—unable to return home and unsure of the next steps. Having just paid rent has left us drained on resources. This situation has been an emotional and financial strain, and any support would mean the world to us as we navigate these unexpected challenges. Being displaced is never easy, asking for help is even harder. These funds would go to help get us the essentials we need including lodging and food for our family.
