Hello, my friend Eric found himself in a very bad situation: he is a student at the Medical University in Ukraine, at the time of the war he was in Melitopol, which was occupied very quickly, after which he could not leave for the EU. He had to go through Russia to Georgia. After that he went to Istanbul and then to Bulgaria, but in Bulgaria he was told that he could not enter Europe without a visa because it had to be done by April 14. But he could not do so because the city he was in in Ukraine was blocked.
After the refusal in Bulgaria, he went back to Georgia and made a tourist visa for Bulgaria, as it was the only chance he had to enter the country. Three weeks later, he flew back to Bulgaria.
He flew to Bulgaria in the hope that he would be allowed to stay there, get his papers done, and be able to continue his studies at a medical university in Europe. But he was rejected, no one even wants to talk to him, because he is from Ecuador, not Ukraine.
He was told to go back to Ecuador, but at the moment it is very dangerous there, there are constant rallies demanding the resignation of the government, a lot of banditry. And of course, if he goes back to Ecuador he won't be able to continue his medical education.
Now the only way out is to leave Bulgaria for Moldova, then wait for the documents from Ukraine and only then go to Bulgaria with the study visa. It all requires a lot of money, which he has run out of at the moment. He spent over $5,000 on all these flights and documents! And all in vain, in the hope that Europe would step in to his position - he was rejected! Only because he is not a Ukrainian, who can come to Europe and live and study there.
Eric works as a translator through the Internet, but the money is not enough to pay for all the flights and paperwork costs.
Being in Ukraine, Eric collected more than 1500$ with his friends and gave them to Ukrainian hospital for medical drugs - this once again confirms that he is a very kind man, who got into a very difficult situation, which is based on discrimination.
Now he needs money for the flight from Bulgaria to Moldova, life in Moldova, while he does all the documents and only then for the flight back to Bulgaria. And this is not to mention the 8000€ he has to pay for his studies every year.
I know I am not asking much for him, only 4000$, but he needs this minimum of money to literally survive doing these documents. I know that the world is not without kind people, in the hope of that I ask for your help!)
