Support Vera, a sweet trans-femme community member of West Philedelphia for almost 10 years, after the shocking loss of her home and all her earthly belongings in a horrible fire...
Early Saturday morning, multiple fires started in West Philadelphia, around 52nd and Pine, destroying Vera's apartment building. In order to contain the fire, they are demolishing the whole structure and everything in it. Vera, her roommate, and their beloved cat Paris made it out safely, but their home and all of their belongings are lost. She is left with the few items she happened to have on her or in her car at the time.
Vera is a musician and DJ. She also teaches music lessons to kids. Most of her instruments and equipment, which she needs to work, have been lost. And during such a major crisis, losing her instruments also means she is left without her main source of grounding and release of passion and emotion.
As she is thrust into the process of rebuilding, Vera needs our community's support!
Rebuilding will include finding a new place to live, furnishing her new home & moving, and restarting the lifelong process of replacing sentimental music equipment... All on top of continuing to go to work and gathering supplies for her immediate needs.
