Through this organization, I have gained incredible interview and public speaking skills, confidence, and a deeper commitment to service. As an Ethiopian and Black student competing in pageants, I aspire to create greater representation and show that our big curly hair, culture, and identity belong confidently on every stage.
I am a very ambitious and passionate student who excels academically and plans to become a hematologist oncologist in the future. My community service initiative focuses on skin cancer awareness, something I have a personal connection to, with the goal of educating and protecting underserved communities.
