Dear friends and comrades,
As the struggle for a truly democratic and sovereign Perú continues into its second year, a group of diaspora organizers and media makers will travel back home to continue support for the struggle on the streets. We will reconnect with organizations and collectives of Peruvians who have been on the ground since Dec 7th of last year.
Our goal for this trip is to continue strengthening relationships built, foster new ones and organize encuentros between our diaspora organization and mass based popular movements on the ground in Perú, particularly in the south Andean regions. We will document the struggle and its main proponents both in Lima and throughout the South of the country as the masses continue on their struggle for justice, memory, self determination and genuine sovereignty. And we will participate in events and meetings to formalize transnational bonds of solidarity to continue material support to the movement.
