A few days ago, my heart sank as I watched my beloved dog, Tux, hit by a car. The sound of the impact and his whimpering cries have been haunting me ever since. Rushing him to the vet, I was terrified of what I might hear. In Lima, the vet gently explained that Tux's leg needed to be amputated if he was going to live a pain-free life again.

The thought of Tux losing a leg was overwhelming. I could still see his wagging tail and remember the way his eyes sparkled during our walks. Tux isn't just a pet; he's been my confidant during late-night worries, always nudging my hand when he sensed I needed comfort.

I'm trying to raise $300 for his surgery, an amount that feels insurmountable with everything else racing through my mind. Tux's playful leaps and affectionate nudges fill our home with joy and warmth. Imagining our life without his joyful presence, even temporarily, is hard to swallow.

Every time Tux curls up next to me, I feel his unwavering trust and loyalty. He doesn't understand why he's in pain, but he looks to me for relief. Your support means the world to us and will help restore the light and cheer that Tux endlessly shares with those around him.
