I am a 70 yr old man who has been in and out of trouble for most of my life but, for the past 19 yrs of my life I have made significant changes in my life such as finding a job and working for a living to support myself. I found a job that allows me to be able to support myself, now I don't make a lot of money $17.50 an hour doing really hard work in a factory setting but it's a job that i can appreciate because it has allowed me to be responsible for myself and to not really be dependent on anyone other than myself for just the basic needs in life and I really enjoy working with the people and company that I work for because they gave me the opportunity to work for them even at my current age in which I will be forever grateful.
And this is where my current situation begins, 2 weeks ago there was a rain storm with flash flooding that hit the area where I live and while I slept my car was flooded by rising water overnight and was declared totaled that next morning but, to my surprise as I was desperately making an attempt to drain the water out of my car i made an attempt to start it, and it started but the damage was already done. My transmission was flooded out, now i am at the point of possibly losing my job and my livelihood because I cannot get to my job which is 32 miles away from where I live in New Jersey. I desperately need to get my Transmission fixed so that I can continue working to support myself and to keep a roof over my head, in the next few months Winter will be here and it gets very cold in New Jersey!! If there's anything anyone can do to help me in my current situation I will be forever grateful!!
