The Annual Kentucky Rejuvenation Retreat happens each year during the last three-day weekend of July. Our mission is to provide a healing, fun, educational space for our guests to connect with nature, build their tribe, and leave with more wellness tools and knowledge.
Each year we have individuals who are in great need of this opportunity but do not have the financial means. The Rejuvenation Retreat Scholarship started in 2020 due to the overwhelming emails and social media outreach for help.
We place a high priority on the applications from US Veterans and anyone who has or is struggling with addiction or PTSD. These three categories are close to the heart of our founder, Dr. Melissa Carver.
Funds are used for half, full (includes meals) or full plus accommodations, based upon the amount of funds raise in ratio to applicants.
If you would like to receive a letter from a sponsored guest after the event, please send your request to info@drmelissacarver.com
Below is a testimony from a previous scholarship recipient:
"I spent 33 days at the Veterans hospital in the
VA domiciliary. I was in a program for PTSD. It
was highly scheduled with classes from 7am to
4pm. It was helpful. However, the short
weekend I spent with Dr. Melissa Carver and
her team was more impactful and beneficial. At
the VA I could barely sleep. I remember at the
rejuvenation retreat I was able to sleep like a
baby. At one point I remember sleeping on the
grass. The combination of therapeutic
meditations and the energy of being around a
different crowd and atmosphere helped me to
relax. I believe I may have even cried at one
point. It was a wonderful experience. Great
memories and much of what I learned has
stuck with me. If you are a Marine or a veteran
like myself and need a retreat to decompress
and let things go. I highly advise it. The
atmosphere will help you finally get some good
rest and you will meet lovely people and make
friends of a lifetime." ~ Alex Johnson
