Beth’s Update — 9.8.26
First, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for continuing to pray for Beth, think of her, encourage her, and support her and their family. The donated food deliveries for Seth while Beth’s diet is still restricted, have been such a thoughtful gift. Every penny, every message, and every act of kindness has been shared with Beth. She gets emotional knowing how many people are thinking of her and walking beside her through all of this. ❤️
After this last scary hurdle, we finally have some good news. Beth’s lungs and heart cleared enough for her chest tube to be removed Saturday, and on Sunday, 9.6.26, her girls were able to bring her home.
Seth and her dog Molly were, once again, so happy to have her back where she belongs. Her dog wouldn’t let her out of sight, following her everywhere as if to make sure she wasn’t going anywhere again. It was the sweetest welcome home. 🐾❤️
Beth has more appointments ahead for the infection and will continue antibiotics for the next month. She knows there is still a road ahead, but she is so grateful to be past this latest hurdle and able to get back to healing.
Her lung doctor said this infection may delay her next surgery. We’re disappointed, but we’re choosing to stay hopeful and pray that she will still be able to have it before the end of the year.
This has been a long, exhausting road for Beth and her family. Having her home is something we are very grateful for.

Update 9.3.26 ❤️
We honestly thought Beth was doing okay and finally beginning to heal.
Then yesterday, 9/2, everything changed so quickly.
Seth took her to the ER in Preston, where they realized something much more serious was happening. They couldn’t treat her there, so another ambulance ride brought her to Murray, arriving around 10 p.m.
Today has been one of those days that leaves a family scared, praying and holding their breath. There was tremendous concern for Beth’s lungs and heart. They started broad-spectrum antibiotics, and after an ultrasound, doctors placed a chest tube that drained a significant amount of infection. They are also working closely with her heart doctor.
As her family, watching all of this unfold has been terrifying. One minute we thought she was on the road to recovery, and the next we were facing something none of us expected.
There have been a lot of tears, a lot of prayers, and a whole lot of worry.
But then Beth asked for food and wanted to go for a walk. ❤️ That little moment meant everything to us. She is feeling more like herself, and the doctors are hopeful she may only need to be in the hospital for a couple more days.
We are so incredibly grateful she is getting the care she needs.
The financial worry is another weight on the family. Beth has now been unable to work for nearly a month, and regular household bills, travel expenses and medical bills are continuing to build.

Update 8.24.26
Friday was a happy day. ❤️ After 11 days in the hospital, Beth was finally able to go home!
To say her husband Seth and Molly, her dog, missed her is an understatement. Molly has been waiting for her girl to come home and is thrilled to have her back. Even though she isn’t normally a “house dog,” she’s been given special permission to stay inside and keep Beth company. 🐾❤️
Beth has a strict diet, needs electrolytes with her liquids, and has many appointments, medical supplies, and another surgery in less than six months.
Your love, prayers, texts, messages, food drop-off and donations have meant so much and have helped ease some financial burden.

Update — 8.19.26
Beth is still in the hospital, going on 9 days, which means the medical bills continue to grow.
She had a setback Tuesday that's delaying her release, but we are hopeful she may be able to go home Saturday or Sunday.
Once she is home, she will need continued home care, another surgery in 3–6 months, and many more trips to Salt Lake for follow-up care, which all cost money.
We continue to pray for Beth’s healing and strength, as well as for her family as they navigate this new normal together.

Help Our Sister Heal
On Thursday 8.13.26, our family received a call no family ever wants to receive.
Our sister, Beth, experienced a medical emergency and was transported by ambulance more than 100 miles for lifesaving care. During emergency surgery, doctors removed two feet of her colon.
Beth and her husband, Seth, are farmers in a small Idaho community. Farming isn't just their livelihood; it's their way of life. This unexpected medical crisis has created additional medical expenses, travel costs, and lost income during a long recovery.
