My name is Catherine Parish, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend and soul sister, Holly and Nicholas Sparks. We’ve been close since I moved to Virginia nearly ten years ago and I've seen her and her family grow into what it is today. Sadly, Holly and her husband Nicholas recently and unexpectedly lost their home of four years due to a negligent landlord who refused to address basic maintenance issues - things any responsible rental company would fix without hesitation. Instead of making the necessary repairs, the landlord evicted them without notice. Holly and Nicholas saw these problems and immediately called the landlord for help. As you're supposed to.

Since then, Holly, Nick, and their family have been doing everything they can to get by - and it's not working.
As I no longer live in the area, I’m unable to help in person - but I can help by sending a beacon love, support, and financial aid. And I’m asking you to join me in lifting them up during this difficult time.
Holly and Nicholas are incredible parents who simply need a hand right now to get back on track. With the sharp rise in rental prices over the past six months, even the basics have become difficult to afford.
Any donation - big or small - will go directly toward helping them secure and furnish a safe home for their two young children.
Funds will be used for things like:
Rent and deposit for their new apartment
Furniture (beds, tables, chairs - due to the fact it was all contaminated with black mold)
Linens, clothing and other linens (due to the fact it was all contaminated with black mold)
Household goods (due to the fact it was all contaminated with black mold)
Diapers, wipes, and food
Gas and transportation
Other essential needs that may come up
