Hello everyone! I am excited to say that I have been selected into University of Toledo’s Rocket Kids Program.
I will be going to Grafenwoehr, Germany!!!
Here is a rundown of the opportunity I have been given:
The program selects students who have prior experience working with children and partners with the U.S. Military to send us to Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, or Germany. While there, we will work with Military children of all ages to create safe and fun environments. We will help children by providing educational development and recreational programming to the United States Army’s children and youth.
Through this experience, I will get to engage in a variety of cultural experiences, gain experience with children and youth, and serve the families of the U.S. Military. All while earning college credits towards my degree. The program comes with training where I will get experience in programming and leadership, health and wellness, creative arts, performing arts, cultural and literary arts, team and individual sports and athletics, outdoor recreation, STEM, and character education. This is a great opportunity for me to continue to grow my leadership skills.
