In March, Tolu sustained from a brain injury a medical emergency. He was in a coma for a month and by the grace of God woke up. However, he has lasting impairments that inhibit him from speaking, walking and living the vibrant life he had before. We know Tolu to be a joyus, welcoming, energetic person who is funny and kind to all.
His mother and sister, Dolapo and Fola Akindubuwa are taking care of him full time has he rehabilitates. Dolapo, his mother has dedicated all her time to be by her son's side since this happened; meaning that she is unable to work on top of medical bills and Tolu's inpatient rehabiliation needs.
The journey to recovery will be a long road and we as their village need to show up and surround them our love and support. Any donation, no matter how small is appericiated.
