As a second-year high school English teacher, reaching out for help like this is new to me, but times have definitely been challenging. I teach in a neighborhood where resources are often limited, and our district in Omaha is currently unable to fund further education for its teachers. Pursuing my master’s degree has always been a dream because, in teaching, higher qualifications mean better opportunities and, ultimately, the chance to make more of an impact on my students' lives. However, without financial support, it feels like I'm stuck between achieving my dreams and accumulating more debt.
Every day, I see the difference education makes, not just in my students’ lives but in mine as well. It’s more than a career—it's a passion I’m deeply committed to. My goal is to continue learning and growing so I can provide the best for my students. The weight of financial strain is something I hadn’t fully anticipated, but with your support, I hope to bridge this gap and continue on this path. Thank you for considering being a part of my journey.
