My love for the Miss Vermont Scholarship Organization started around 8 years ago, when I met my first Miss Vermont. We were both at a UVM Children’s Hospital fundraiser, and I was in complete awe of her. My dream of being Miss Vermont was sparked that day. At the time, I was the 2014 Children's Miracle Network Hospital Champion for Vermont after my life was saved there following what should have been a routine appendectomy. During my year as the Champion, I also got to meet Miss America 2015, Kira Kazantsev Dixon. I can’t believe my life has come full circle, and I now get to represent my home state of Vermont at the 100th Miss America Competition! I have utilized this time to raise over $11,000 for the hospital that saved my life and am so proud and humbled to donate comfort items for the young patients being treated there today. I am beyond thankful for this opportunity and time in my life.
I am also a recent graduate of Castleton University with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and look forward to starting my nursing career at the end of my year as Miss Vermont. During the week of the 100th Miss America competition, I am proud and excited to say I will celebrate 8 years of being a volunteer firefighter!
It’s time for America’s Choice! This is your chance to have your voice heard in who you think exemplifies the qualities of Miss America as a leader, servant, and role model for young women. This year we’re offering a $5,000 scholarship to the winner to help her advance her education and achieve her life and career goals.
To vote, click your favorite candidate below to go to her page. Each dollar donated equals 1 vote, so the candidate with the most donations will win the America’s Choice scholarship. In addition to the $5,000 scholarship, she will be recognized on-stage during the Preliminary Competition at Mohegan Sun in December.
Voting has no impact on placement in the Final Night Competition. As a 501(c)4 nonprofit under IRS regulations, all donations to The Miss America Organization are not tax-deductible.
