Where will the clinic be happening?
The City Parks Foundation operates a junior training center with the First Tee on property at the Dyker Beach golf course, a short walk from the Dyker Beach pro shop. The facility is at 8850 14th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11228.
Attendees can gather at the Dyker Beach Pro shop (1030 86th St, Brooklyn, NY 11228) and be led through Dyker Beach Golf Course, or can meet at the clinic facility.
How do I get to Dyker Beach?
Take the R to the 2nd to last stop, and it’s about a 3 minute walk from there! Very easy
How many spots are available? Who is invited?
We have space for ~25 attendees. Space will be prioritized for members of MCA and GFA, which are sponsoring the event.
Are partners invited? Are other schools invited?
We are opening access to NYU Stern students first, and they can bring their partner if they want.
Who will be teaching the clinic?
Coaches from the City Parks Foundation will lead the clinic.
Will there be children at the clinic?
There may be students at the facility, so we have to ask you to refrain from drinking until after the clinic, but they will not be a part of the clinic.
What will the clinic look like?
The first 15 minutes will be an orientation on golf course etiquette - particularly, how to get started and have fun when you’re not a serious golfer. Then, attendees will go outside and break into groups to work on specific golf skills. The clinic will finish with a fun putting competition!
Do I need to bring my own clubs?
No – clubs will be provided.
