Hello, everyone. I'm Israel and we're the Haynes family. We are a large family of 19, with 11 children still under our roof, and our journey has been one of both love and challenge.

Our father, a hardworking truck driver, has dedicated his life to providing for our large family. However, last year, he received a  diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. The toll of long hours on the road has taken a serious toll on his health, and we are determined to find a way to lift this burden from his shoulders.

Adding to our concerns, one of my older sisters returned home to receive support from our parents. She battles type 1 diabetes and stage 1 chronic kidney disease. Alongside her, our 2nd youngest brother, at just 6 years old, navigates life with level 2 autism, requiring additional care and understanding.

Our mother, the unsung hero, is the heart of our home. She dedicates her days to homeschooling seven of my siblings, ensuring they receive the education and attention they deserve. But amidst the chaos and love, there's a growing concern for our family's health and well-being.

Despite the obstacles we face, we refuse to lose hope. Our dream is to create a sustainable future for our family by purchasing land where we can build a homestead. With your generous support, we aim to grow our own food, ensuring access to fresh, healthy produce for everyone in our family. This will not only alleviate the financial strain of purchasing groceries but also promote better health and well-being for all of us.

But dreams, no matter how vivid, cannot thrive without support. That's where you come in. Your contribution is not just a donation; it's a lifeline—a beacon of hope that illuminates our path towards a brighter tomorrow. With your generosity, we can purchase the land of our dreams, undergo the necessary tests and surveys, and lay the foundation for a future that defies limitations.

Every dollar brings us closer to our dream of a healthier, happier future for our family. Your kindness and compassion mean more to us than words can express. Together, we can turn our dream into a reality and build a haven where love and sustainability flourish.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of our journey.

With gratitude and hope,

Israel

Our lease officially ends at the end of this month. When this fundraiser was first created, the goal was to raise funds toward purchasing land. Since then, our circumstances have changed, and we are navigating a season that requires flexibility and timely action.

At this point, the funds raised may go toward securing a rental or purchasing land — whichever door opens first. Our immediate priority is safe and stable housing for our family as we move forward with wisdom and faith.

Thank you for every prayer, share, and contribution. Your support truly means more than words during this transition.

It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update, but with everything unfolding, we felt led to be transparent. We recently learned that the owner of the home we’re renting will most likely be selling this spring. On top of that, we’ve been dealing with several property issues. Even if the sale doesn’t go through, it’s clear we’ll need to move soon.

For a while now, the Most High has been stirring our hearts to declutter, and to simplify — and now we see that He was preparing us for this moment. The uncertainty is real, and this season has been challenging. The pressure and the waiting have been heavy, but in our spirits, we know this isn’t the end. It’s preparation.

Finding someone willing to rent to a family our size has never been easy — and truthfully, we don’t want another temporary place. We’re ready for something different. Not just another move, but a beginning. A home we can steward, not just survive in.

If you’ve already given, please know how deeply we appreciate you. If you feel led to sow again or to share this with someone who might, it would mean more than you know. Spring is closer than it feels, and there’s still much to prepare for — but we trust that He will make a way.

Thank you for standing with us, praying with us, and believing for the promise with us. Every prayer, every share, every seed — it matters. He’s moving, even now.

With love and unwavering faith,
The Haynes Family

Hey everyone,

We’ve been waiting since November for our property manager to do a walk-through. Our lease ended on January 31, and since then, we’ve just been in limbo. We haven’t been asked to move, and from what we understand, we’re on a month-to-month lease now. Today was supposed to be the walk-through, but they had to reschedule—again. This is the second time, so we’re still stuck waiting to find out what’s next.

The goal is still to buy land, but if we have to move, the money will go toward first and last month’s rent, a security deposit, and a pet deposit if we find a place that allows our dogs. This whole situation has been frustrating, but we’re trusting that things will work out.

If you’re able to donate or share, we’d really appreciate it. Thank you for your support!

It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update. My dad is still driving trucks, which keeps him away for several weeks at a time. On top of that, a new health concern has come up within our family. My grandmother is also facing some serious health issues, and all of this has made us more determined than ever to reach our goal of purchasing land.

With the rising cost of living—especially food—it feels like now is the time to take this step. So far, we’ve raised $2,712 toward our adjusted goal of $8,500. We lowered the goal because we found a trustworthy site offering land starting at $34,500 for at least 5 acres. While the required down payment is small, we currently pay $2,200 a month in rent. To keep the monthly payments manageable at around $100, we’ll need to put down more than the minimum. Our lease is ending on January 31, 2025, so we’re even more focused on getting this land purchase moving forward.

We’re doing our best to move forward wisely, seeking guidance from the Father every step of the way. Please continue to keep us in your prayers, and if you’re able to donate, it would mean so much to us. Every bit gets us closer to creating a stable future for our family.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to give you all a quick update on our Spotfund campaign. We’re currently at $2,079—still a ways away from our goal, but we’re not losing hope. We have faith in our dream of achieving sustainability and a healthier lifestyle, especially during these tough economic times when the cost of living keeps rising. With a big family like ours, we’re definitely feeling the pinch.

We’re sad to share that my dad will be going back on the road as a truck driver in a week. This is a really hard decision for us, especially because of his type 2 diabetes. Living and eating healthy on the road is a huge challenge, but my dad is committed to taking care of us, no matter what. His decision to go back on the road is an incredibly selfless act, and it’s a tough reality we’re facing right now.

But we’re not giving up on our goal. We know that purchasing land and building a sustainable future is the best way we can help our dad and the rest of our family. We want to create a space where we can grow our own food, live healthier lives, and take some of the burden off my dad. It’s a dream we’re holding onto tightly, and we believe that with your support, we can make it happen.

Please consider sharing our story and contributing if you can. Every dollar, every share, brings us closer to our goal. We’re so grateful for your support and for being part of our journey.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

With hope and gratitude,

Israel
