The Jewish people of Memphis are currently without a kosher restaurant. After the former kosher place closed there was a void left in the community. This meant no hot lunches at the local jewish community day school. Everyone has been forced to cook their own meals with no chance for the break others get by going to a restaurant.
I am looking to change this. I would like to start by preparing the hot lunches for the school and providing Kosher snack boxes available to everyone. I would also like to start preparing family style meals in a "ghost kitchen" style available for pick up/delivery in the evenings. Doing all of this out of the Baron Hirsch Synagogue eventually expanding to my own kitchen.
Starting up is a large endevor. I need to purchase insurance and equipment, set up a website for online ordering, hire a mashgiach, and rent out the kitchen space. Anything helps.
