My grandpa was diagnosed with esophageal cancer may 28th he was good for a few months... a couple days ago he was rushed to the E.R. In Hampton because he wasn't feeling well. They then took him to Des Moinesbecause there was a hole leaking fluids into his body. They tried discovering where the hole was. Friday at 7 he was taken into surgery to repair the hole, about an hour into the surgery someone came down and told us that they found the cancer in his stomach aswell, and that was eating a hole in his stomach, which progressed the cancer from stage 1, to stage 4. They said they were going to try their hardest to remove the cancer from his stomach and esophagus and save as much as they could. At around 12:30 he got out of surgery, and they told us they had to completely remove his stomach, and they attached his intestines to his esophagus. He's doing pretty well with everything going on, but he's in and out of it. I made this to help my grandma with everything she has to do to help him, and everything he has to do to get through it. Anything would help, including just reposting this so others can see it.
