Shelby is in critical condition

Asking for help isn't easy, but today our family is reaching out for someone who means the world to us.
Yesterday, my grandpa's beloved Shih Tzu, Shelby, was attacked by a neighbor's dog and suffered serious injuries. She was rushed to an emergency veterinary hospital, where she underwent lifesaving surgery. We are incredibly grateful that Shelby is currently recovering, but the cost of her emergency care has reached $7,000. Before Grandpa can bring his little girl home, our family must pay for her surgery and treatment.
Shelby is so much more than a pet—she is family.
In 2019, after my nana passed away, Shelby became Grandpa's constant companion. During some of the hardest days of his life, she gave him a reason to get out of bed, made him laugh, and has been by his side ever since. Their bond is something truly special.
Shelby's favorite job is keeping Grandpa in line. She loves riding on Grandpa's shoulder in the truck, going on fishing trips and adventures to Conjilon, and following him everywhere he goes. Our family jokes that Shelby is Grandpa's favorite daughter, and anyone who knows them can see why. She even gives him attitude when he tells her he has to leave for work because she wants him to stay home with her. She's spoiled rotten—and she deserves every bit of it. To Grandpa, she's his little queen.
Right now, all we want is to bring Shelby home where she belongs.
