Hello,

My name is Samantha, and a year ago, I never would’ve thought I’d be doing something like this. I am not the type of person to ask for help even when it’s needed.

I had a great job making fairly good money. I was also pregnant. When I decided to start telling people about my pregnancy, I also decided to tell my work so they were given the heads up that towards the end of my pregnancy, I wouldn’t be able to travel as much. Right before I told the company I was pregnant, I was given a promotion. A week after I told them I was pregnant, I received a write-up for something I had on video that never happened, and they kept coming and I kept having proof they were wrong and HR ( who was best friends with my boss) ignored every form of communication I tried. I was let go from the company 2 weeks before Christmas. I believe they didn’t want to deal with me being pregnant or taking time off to have the baby. I’m not going to list the company’s name due to having an open case with the EEOC against them currently, but it’s a very long process.

My daughter is now 4 months old, and I haven’t been able to find a job that fits our schedule with a new baby. Just in two weeks, I’ve applied for over 240 jobs. My husband has been working two jobs to keep us afloat, and it’s taking a very bad toll on his body. Especially being diabetic, But being off work for so many months, we are in so much debt. Even when I find a job, it’s going to be a long time to get this debt paid down. That’s not including our HVAC system not working and leaking water on our ceiling where it’s caving in and somehow there is water in some of our light bulbs. I also have 3 other daughters
(4 daughters total). I’m trying to do everything I can to make sure they get school clothes and not notice how bad we are struggling. I want my kids to enjoy being kids and not worry about money. It’s crazy to think how much your life can change in just one year. It breaks my heart to even make this. This help would be going to catch up on on the massivebills and fix ceiling that’s starting to fall in and maybe help get my kids some school clothes they need.

If you can help, God bless you. If you can’t because I know most of us are struggling in some way, but you stayed to read my story, God bless you as well.
