Calvin & Barb’s Emergency Storm Recovery Fund
Our family is reaching out for help after a devastating windstorm with winds approaching 80 mph caused extensive damage to Calvin and Barb’s home and property in the Upper Cut Meat Community on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
The storm tore the roof off their home, leaving it exposed to the elements and in urgent need of repair. In addition to the damage to the house, a storage shed was destroyed, and several personal belongings and other essential items were lost or damaged in the storm.
This unexpected disaster has created a significant financial burden that is difficult to overcome alone. Our immediate priority is to make their home safe and weatherproof, replace the destroyed shed, and replace essential belongings so they can begin rebuilding their lives.
We are asking for the support of family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who feels moved to help. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward:
Emergency roof repairs and rebuilding
Replacing the destroyed storage shed
Replacing essential belongings and other storm-damaged items
Cleanup, debris removal, and building materials
Other recovery expenses related to the storm
Life in our rural community is built on helping one another during difficult times. Your generosity will help Calvin and Barb recover from this disaster and restore a safe place they can once again call home.
If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. Please consider sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, coworkers, and social networks. Every donation, every share, and every prayer makes a difference.
On behalf of Calvin and Barb and our entire family, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support during this difficult time.
Wopila (Thank you) for helping our family rebuild.
