Update 4:
We secured some volunteer help to tear part of the dwelling down. We have been spending e very spare minute there taking down what's left of cabinets, walls, siding, decking etc. We are burning what we are able but the rest is just in a massive pile for now. It is outside the fenced in area so if we are able to replace the home, somehow first,it will not be dangerous for them.
We have received almost $600 in donations and have gotten mom and baby clothing, toiletries and a bed to share while they're in our home.
We also sold the items from the home that were usable (refrigerator, stove and copper) to get us closer to our goal.
The hope is we can help get them into a safe home. After much begging, there is a foreclosed but very nice trailer we can get them into for a $2500 down payment . We have not figured in moving the trailer or anything, but we will cross that bridge when we reach it!❤️
Thank you for all your help, shares and every prayer!
Update 3
We are actively spending time tesring down the condemned property. I have had a group of 4 people come help haul off a few loads. We go over every day to tear down what we can before everyone goes to work. It's one wall at a time but doing what we can will save $10k+We can not afford to have it torn down. We have no had local volunteer help outside the one day those 4 people came to help.
We have found some remodeled trailers and buy backs that look reasonably affordable monthly. However, being able to put a down payment to make that possible is the miracle we are praying for!
Update 2: We are waiting on a place to call and let us know if we can rally help to tear down the old home. If it goes through,we can do it for around $1k!!! and move another home in its place when we find one.
Praying this goes through!!!
Update: The home has been completely condemned. It will have to be torn down and another home of some kind put in its place. The land it is on is not in Mom's name to sell to be able to start over.
So far,we have been unable to save much but the gun case of her papaws. John and I had been working on this trailer for them since her mother's passing. We'd gotten cookware, trim, painted and done floors. I was working on a magical bedroom for my baby girl. Even the art is made her gone.
We do not have an estimate on tearing the house down or anything yet. I'm honestly praying somehow we can get a group of people together to rip it apart and maybe find a tiny home or pod to put back there.
At the moment,we just don't know. But I am grateful for every share, every prayer. They have noone else in the world so your kindness is truly moving!
My granddaughter and her mother's home caught fire and burned down. All of their belongings, clothes, and keepsakes are gone. Amanda just buried both her parents and was left with this small trailer. Everything she had of her parents, for my granddaughter, for life is just gone. It just happened so I will update with photos of the damage and us there to prove this is real. I've never done one of these so I don't know what to say except they need everything. We need to get them clothes and basic essentials,a toddler bed and find them a place to live. We do not think the home can be salvaged but are waiting to hear from the people who make those decisions. As of now,it is condemned. We are just trying to help a single mother alone in the world and her baby girl what they need to survive. Please share this in hopes we can help! Thank you for taking the time to read this,God bless you!❤️
