When asked about the club, Jack Nicklaus, who won two of his 18 majors at Baltusrol said, "I shall always count Baltusrol among my favorite courses - it is certainly one of the finest in the world."
Founded in 1895, and celebrating it’s 125th anniversary this year, Baltusrol is home to two A.W. Tillinghast signature courses, the Lower and Upper. In 1952, Robert Trent Jones completed renovation of the Lower Course at Baltusrol, including a lengthened par three fourth hole around the pond that Tillinghast had originally installed. Facing critique from members that the rock wall and length made the hole too hard, Jones played it with his chief critic. After hitting a hole in one, Jones declared the hole “eminently fair.”
Baltusrol has hosted multiple US Opens, PGA Championships, the US Amateur, the US Women’s Open, and multiple USGA amateur championships. The club is preparing to host two more majors this decade – the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and 2029 Men’s PGA Championship.

Grand Prize: One grand prize winner will win 18 holes of golf, including greens fees and lunch, for 3 people at Baltusrol Golf Club, in Springfield, NJ. Course selection will be part of the scheduling process with the host and the winning guest, and may be restricted due to tee time availability or club guest policy.

** This sweepstakes is for a threesome accompanied by a member of Baltusrol, and includes guest fees and lunch at the club. Guests are responsible for their own caddy fees. Round must be used within 12 months of the selection of the winner. Scheduling will be on a best-efforts basis – FTMNY will work with the winner and the hosting member to find a date that is mutually acceptable. All rounds must be scheduled and played in accordance with club rules and all applicable laws. The winner is responsible for working with their host to understand and follow club rules and decorum. Inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to excessive drinking, lewd or uncouth outbursts, may be grounds for removal without refund.
