A Mother, a Teacher, and a Dreamer Holding It All Together
My name is Ida, and I’m a classroom teacher, a graduate student, a mother, and a wife. I’ve dedicated my life to nurturing young children and advocating for families—both in my classroom and in my community. I recently earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Leadership, and I’m now pursuing my Master’s degree while leading a classroom of two-year-olds at a nationally recognized Head Start program.
But behind the scenes, my family and I are navigating a storm.
I’m the sole income earner in our household. My husband is battling ongoing health challenges, and my son is a high-functioning autistic young adult who is doing everything he can to support us while searching for work. Together, we’ve turned to art as a source of healing and hope. We create and sell handmade resin pieces and paintings, pouring our love and resilience into every piece.
💡 Monthly Reality
My monthly take-home pay is approximately $2,800. Despite working full-time and pursuing my graduate degree, our basic living expenses far exceed what I bring in. Here’s what we face each month:
|
Monthly Expense |
Amount |
|
Rent |
$1,350 |
|
Storage fees |
$300 |
|
Phone bill |
$100 |
|
Internet and cable |
$260 |
|
Car insurance |
$226 |
|
Electric bill |
$150 |
|
Total Monthly Expenses |
$2,386 |
This leaves very little for food, gas, medical needs, or emergencies—and nothing to chip away at our larger debts.
💡 How Your Support Helps
In addition to monthly survival, we’re facing urgent one-time needs:

$1,295 |
|
Van repair (essential for work) |

|
Emergency cushion (groceries, meds, gas) |
$1,000 |
|
Total Goal |
$37,754 |
This fundraiser is more than a request for help. It’s an invitation to stand with a family that refuses to give up. Every donation, every share, every kind word helps us keep going. It helps me continue showing up for my students, for my family, and for the future we’re building together.
We’re walking by faith, not by sight. Even in the hardest moments, I believe God is making a way. Your support is part of that miracle.
“And let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
Thank you for believing in us.
