I Am an Open Book! As a Father, Fiancé, Brother, Uncle & Son I have lived my life to this point of being a very transparent person. In the Fall of 2020, I got an OWI in Farmington Hills, MI, when I went to court, I was told I can either do a year in jail or 2 years Sobriety Court probation {a VERY Intense probation}, of course I took the probation. This consisted of Alcohol Testing 3 times a day, random drug testing, interlock on my car {blow for alcohol to start the car}, AA 12 Step program (at least 5 meetings a week), substance abuse therapy, mental health counseling, 80 hours of community service, fines & fees and finally I was order not to enter, loiter, or frequent any place where alcohol is their primary source of income. These requirements were very extreme and almost impossible.
Everyone who knows me, knows that I'm a good guy and try to give to others and help wherever I can. My record has always been fair clean until this incident.
Fast Forward to December 5, 2022, I had court to address a violation of probation from a local misdemeanor. The judge decided she felt that I have been dishonest and did not take the Sobriety Court program seriously and sentence me to 1 Year in Oakland County Jail with a review for December 19, 2022. On 12/19 she decided to modify my sentence to 180 days on a work release tether and discharged me from the sobriety court program {which means I lose my license}. I was 3 ½ weeks from being done.
In total transparency all of the cost and fee from the sobriety court program were getting very expense and a strain. With being in jail for 17 days it affected everything including my income, transportation, the cost of the tether program, restitution, fine and fees. I am generally a very prideful person who does not like ask for help, However this situation has put me in a major bind and sticky situation. Anything helps at this point and would mean the world to me. I need a lawyer and I have to pay for the tether and restitution, or I go back to jail.
