Our mother, Melody, danced her way over to the other side on August 22, 2021. Though Stubborn and cantankerous at times, you always knew where you stood with Mom. She fiercely loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and genuinely wanted to improve the world around her, even after death. She had intended on donating her body to science to advance the study of COPD and help others struggle less with their illness. Sadly, due to current restrictions and legalities, her wishes were unable to be fulfilled at the last minute leaving her family scrambling to pay for unexpected end-of-life costs.
